PROENZA SCHOULER PS1

Not since Balenciaga's City Bag has a bag made such an impact as the PS1 has made in the past couple of years. It's no surprise my best friend has a similar fascination with the PS1's that I have with Balenciagas. They are practical but the luxurious leather makes them special and anything but boring. I was excited to learn today that for their Cruise '11 collection, they have added a bright green PS1 in a larger size, very similar to a Balenciaga 'work' bag. I can't wait to see more pictures of it, but in the mean time, you can get a similar style of the original PS1 at ASOS!

JEREMY SCOTT 'MICKEY' SUNGLASSES

Bleudame.com has made an awesome pair of sunnies very similar to the ones Gaga wears in her video for "paparazzi." They are available for pre-order now and come in an array of colors. When un-flipped, they are uber cute, so they don't have to be theatrical unless you decide so. They retail for $18.80

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN MACARENA WEDGES

There wedges are already sold out online and it's easy to see why. I love that the geniuses at Louboutin decided to pair these black wedges with Silver Hardware. I really think gold accents would have made them look less polished.

Bebe has a similar pair but with a few, but significant differences. The wedge is not patent leather but rather espadrille throughout and the chain is significantly less dramatic. My favorite combination for these espadrilles is the Tan leather with Gold hardware .

JEWEL BOX NECKLACE FROM MADEWELL

This piece has a 'Little Mermaid' vibe that's pretty amazing. It's a great piece of costume jewelry for summer! It comes in pastels and a bright punchy pink color. All great, but I think the transparent pink color is fantastic. It's not quite coral, but the mixture of brass and light pink pearls remind me of the sea. It is absolutely worth the $98, but here is an alternative for $14.80 from forever21.com

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN RODITA HEELS

Zipper details were kind of a "trend" that never really took off. The reason? It is overwelming if done with multiple pieces. My suggestion is to follow the same rules you would do with studs and animal prints- keep it one piece per outfit. I have seen it done beautifully in graphic zipper prints on tees, zipper jewelry, and most importantly, shoes. Christian Louboutin's Rodita Zip Platforms are perfect but unfortunately are no longer available in black. You can however pick up Jessica Simpson's "Tansas" Sandal. It has the same zipper strap detail, but Jessica Simpson's design is slightly more of a platform than a stiletto. The buckle at the ankle is also larger larger and the zipper straps are much wider. This could be a good thing because it means it will give your foot more support and your walk more stability.

GIVENCHY LARGE NIGHTINGALE

One of the things that has made the "nightingale" one of Givenchy's most sought after bags is the simplicity and classic nature which makes it timeless. It has been coming back for a few seasons now, in different colors and textures. The Alternative is the Deux Lux Oversized Basic Satchel from Urbanoutfitters. com. It is simple and roomy-two of the most basic words you can use to describe the appeal of the Nightingale. At $58.00, it is significantly less than Givenchy's $2,000+ Old Pepe Nightingale. Whichever one you choose, it is sure to stay in your closet for a long time, and be your "go-to" bag when you need simplicity and SPACE. One of the main, and most important details missing from the budget friendly version is the huge zipper running down the large shoulder strap. If this is the reason it appeal to you, you can get a zipper at a fabric store and crazy glue(my favorite!) it right on. It not only makes your bag unique, but you have the liberty of choosing the tone(color) of zipper(brass, goldtone, silvertone, etc)!
